What is Charge IQ?

An initiative of DiUS Computing, ChargeIQ is a ZigBee Smart Energy Certified charging solution for plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs). ChargeIQ allows vehicle owners to take advantage of Time of Use pricing and other smart-grid initiatives, to charge their PEVs at the most cost effective time. This will decrease the peak load on the electricity grid, a key concern of the electricity industry.

Electric vehicles are a radical change for motorists from fossil fueled cars. ChargeIQ aims to make owning and running an electric vehicle as convenient and low cost as possible. Some of the features of the ChargeIQ technology include:
• Saves the motorist money by always charging at the lowest price
• Easy to use: just plug it in
• Can be controlled remotely via your computer or smart phone
• Minimises the need for expensive electrical infrastructure changes in the home
• Compatible with household Smart Meters and most makes & models of electric vehicles

By installing this application, from your iPhone you will be able to:
• Manage charging of your PEV and the way ChargeIQ station operates
• Check if your PEV is charging and check its charge time remaining.
• Respond to requests from your electricity network operator for Grid-friendly charging of your PEV.

You must have a ChargeIQ station, and chargeiq.com.au login to use this application.
